Mental health provider

Owen Karcher, MA, LPC and Chelsea O’Neil Karcher, MA, LPC-IT co-founded the Center for Community Healing to provide high-quality therapy to people with marginalized or misunderstood identities. We specialize in working with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning clients.

We are art therapists, consultants, healers, educators, and authors. When working with us, you can expect to be treated with the utmost respect. We promise to strive to listen and provide support with empathy, compassion, and curiosity using a client-centered approach. This means our work together will always be guided by your goals.

In addition to traditional talk therapy methods, we engage our clients in skill-building exercises that may include mindfulness meditation, journaling exercises, art, bodywork and other interactive strategies that support transformation. We can also write letters for hormone therapy or surgery. Services are offered in English and Spanish.

Our practice currently serves 95% LGBTQ clients, 90% identifying as transgender or gender non-conforming and 30% people of color.

We are dedicated to providing high-quality, affirming care for all people and strive to be inclusive and respectful of race, national origin and immigration status, gender, disability, HIV Status, religion, age, veteran status, gender identity or expression, and sexual orientation.
